Professional Standing
Llamau ensures there is a balance between experiential and professional backgrounds within the organisation. Between the key staff who manage the organisation there exists many years of actual face to face service delivery as well as professional qualifications relevant to the field. Specialist staff called support workers, advice workers, training & development workers, mediation workers and young persons advisors provide the services within Llamau.

Support workers are responsible for the needs and risk assessments and support delivery. In the supported housing projects and on the floating support and tenancy support schemes. Llamau have introduced a support framework and checklist which ensures a consistency of service delivery and that the support is in line with the organisations support methodology.

Llamau ensures that all staff are able to demonstrate the relevant skills and experience through an intensive training and induction programme.

Llamau operates a six-month induction period for all staff, taking into account an introduction to different projects, client groups and current policies and procedures. A ny additional training needs identified at this stage or subsequently through supervision sessions will be prioritised taking performance and service delivery as the most important indicators. Training needs are also analysed as part of Llamau’s annual appraisal process.
